Executive Director and Founder
Dana Rojas
Dana was born in Colombia and has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by her home country. Driven by a desire to make a positive impact and mitigate the ongoing violence, she founded Hope for Colombia. With the mission of fostering lasting peace and promoting meaningful transformations. Dana firmly believes that individuals living in conflict zones have the insight and courage needed to identify solutions tailored to their specific circumstances, she ensures that local citizens are empowered to take an active role in decision-making so solutions developed are sustainable and relevant.
Dana represents Hope for Colombia at public events, oversees team efforts, and guides the strategic direction of the organization and its members. Additionally, Dana has conducted research on the effects on conflict among Latin America by exploring the impact of Colonialism and politics, highlighting the need for addressing root causes to develop effective solutions in peacebuilding initiatives.
In her free time, Dana finds inspiration in art, nature, and music. As a lover of classical ballet, and music she believes in the transformative power of creativity and culture, which enriches her sensibility and empathy. Dana’s deep love for Colombia drives her to seek solutions for violence, working hand in hand with communities in conflict-affected areas to cultivate pathways toward lasting peace.

Ana Camba
Ana Camba is a senior at School for Advanced Studies and Miami Dade College. Passionate about her Venezuelan roots, Ana hopes to drive change in the living and economic situations across South America despite current challenges in her home country. Ana’s passion for her community has led her to work with her Miami community to supply students from pre-K to high school seniors with the necessary materials for the new school years. As a science enthusiast, Ana is planning to major in biomedical engineering, and has published research on the importance of non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Beyond her projects, as a board member of four clubs, including Model United Nations, she participates in conferences throughout the U.S. to bring awareness on the use of AI on global endeavors. Additionally, she oversees the management and processing of documentation, and ensures the seamless coordination and execution of activities and events. In her free time, Ana loves to express herself through dance and contemporary rhythmic movements, as well as immerse herself in fantasy books. Ana continues to contribute meaningfully to global progress, driven by her passion in science, education and positive change.

Anamiguel Salcedo
Anamiguel finished high school at Abeka Academy in Pensacola, Florida, and is currently a student at the Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración in Bogotá. Anamiguel is deeply passionate about art and creativity. She has had an exceptionally competitive spirit from a very young age standing out in the sports area, specifically in Ballet and Lyrical, becoming the Latin American Dance Champion in 2023. Her experience has led her to show great devotion to the Hope for Colombia Association and seek to help communities in great need in Colombia and the rest of the world.
